Another outlet has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but he’s reportedly not the only striker the club are looking at.

The Evening Standard are the latest outlet to report that Arsenal are tracking Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of next summer. The 24-year-old reportedly fits the profile the club are looking for.

Though the same outlet adds that the Gunners are scouting a number of different options, including Jonathan David of Lille.

The Mirror recently reported that Arsenal are ready to target Calvert-Levin as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette next summer.

The Gunners are reportedly already closely following potential signings to take Lacazette’s spot in the squad, and Calvert-Lewin is high on their list.

The Mirror don’t mention any other names on the list, but it’s very possible David is one of them.

The Daily Mail claimed something similar about Calvert-Lewin, adding that Arsenal want the English forward to spreadhead the next phase of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.

Calvert-Lewin was also on Arsenal’s radar in the summer, but it was impossible for them to do a deal at the time.

Everton would want £60m or more to sell the striker, so he certainly isn’t going to come cheap. But Arsenal are going to need to invest up front, that much seems pretty certain.

The reliable Paul Joyce of The Times has also weighed in to confirm that Arsenal are one of Calvert-Lewin’s suitors ahead of next summer.

Though, again, the suggestion is that he wouldn’t come cheap, with his deal lasting to 2025.

In June and in October, The Telegraph also reported that Arsenal were known to be keen on Calvert-Lewin.

At this point, the list of dissenting outlets is growing small. It really does seem like there’s too much smoke to rule out a fire.

Calvert-Lewin scored three goals in his first three games of the current campaign, but he’s been out of action ever since with injury.

He’s unlikely to return until next month, and won’t be involved against Arsenal on Monday.
