In a recent report, Tuttosport claimed that Arsenal have reignited their interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. It has been stated that the Gunners have identified the Serbian forward as a target for the upcoming transfer window.

Vlahovic’s Impressive Form In Serie A This Season

The 24-year-old is having a fruitful campaign at the Turin club after putting in a string of productive performances as the focal point of their attack. Vlahovic has banged in 17 goals and grabbed three assists in 31 matches for Juve this season across all fronts.

The Serbian talent has led the line well and deserves some credit for averaging 3.6 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he has lacked quality when distributing the ball after making only 70.9% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal at the Allianz Stadium will run out in the summer of 2026, so the Gunners would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Vlahovic at the end of this campaign.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Snap Vlahovic Up?

Vlahovic can engineer some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with power and precision from all ranges and can be a decent finisher in front of the opponent’s half.

The Serbia international can even create the odd chance for others around him on the offensive end of the field. He is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opposition penalty area but needs to find a way to improve his link-up play up top.

We can expect Vlahovic to inject more firepower into Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting spot at the North London club in the coming years. However, it remains to be seen whether the Serbian centre-forward can adapt to the high intensity of English football if the Gunners manage to sign him in the summer.

At 24, the Belgrade-born striker will only get better with each year. Thus, Arteta would be wise to try everything he can to snap Vlahovic up when the transfer window reopens later this year.
