Arsenal loanee Dejan Iliev has terminated his loan deal with SKF Sered and his contract with the Gunners at the same time.

Arsenal have confirmed that Dejan Iliev is leaving the club, and terminating his loan deal with SKF Sered. They go on to thank Iliev for his contribution to the club and wish him the best for his future.

Iliev effectively ended his spell with Arsenal this summer, after accepting a one-year loan to Sered despite only having one year remaining on his Gunners contract. But officially, he was still an Arsenal player on loan.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper started the season as a regular in the Sered side, making nine appearances. But he picked up an injury in October and never returned to the team.

Now, Iliev is without a club, and he’s free to find himself a new one on a free transfer.

Iliev never made an appearance for the Arsenal first team, but he did make the bench on three occasions, including for the Europa League final in 2019.

For the u23s, the North Macedonia u21 international featured plenty of times over the years. His busiest campaign came under Freddie Ljungberg as Arsenal finished 2nd in the PL2 in 2018/19.
