According to The Athletic, Arsenal are ready to let Olympique de Marseille sign Eddie Nketiah (26) and allow the striker to leave the club. The English forward would leave his boyhood club on loan and sign for OM with an obligation to buy.

The fee which will require Marseille to purchase the 26-year-old permanently next season will be worth €30m, The Athletic understands. Nketiah has agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 club and is enticed by the prospect of being managed by Roberto De Zerbi at the Stade Vélodrome.

However, the decision is now in Les Phocéens’ hands. They have the opportunity to accept the proposal from the Premier League club and a move should be relatively simple to complete with all parties on the same page. Fabrice Hawkins reports that Marseille are turning their attention to Nketiah once again after they had a second bid rejected by Lens for Elye Wahi.
