Two of the top sides in the WSL went toe-to-toe at Meadow Park, and despite big chances for both sides – including when Lina Hurtig hit the bar for Arsenal – the scores remained deadlocked at 0-0 after the opening 90 minutes.

After a lot of huffing and puffing, it was Arsenal who broke the deadlock in the third minute of extra time, thanks to Swedish forward Stina Blackstenius with a cool left-footed finish.

Although the possession between the two sides was fairly even, Man City actually had more chances to score. Yet that solitary goal from Arsenal was the decider that put Jonas Eidevall’s side through.

Arsenal will now play West Ham or Chelsea in the final of the competition on March 5th at Selhurst Park.
