The future of Victor Osimhen will be determined in the next few days as the player has been linked to a move away from Napoli, but a move has yet to occur. Nonetheless, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has the latest on the Nigerian’s future.
Regarding PSG’s stance with Osimhen, there have been clashing reports on whether the reigning Ligue 1 champions are a serious contender for the striker. Recently, L’Equipe reported that PSG have chosen not to pursue a deal for Osimhen despite Gonçalo Ramos’ injury.
Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport reported this week Arsenal are ready to return with a proposal close to the new €100 million plus bonuses asking price. With the summer window set to close in a few days, Romano provided the latest regarding the Napoli standout.
According to Romano, Osimhen’s future will be determined next week as the summer transfer window closes—whether he ends up at PSG, Chelsea, Saudi Arabia, or elsewhere.
RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins also reported that although PSG acknowledge its attacking issues are resolved, it’s not ruling out seeking Osimhen to make one last significant purchase this summer.
“PSG feel they’ve already strengthened their attack,” Hawkins said on RMC Sport. “But with just a week left, they’ll stay alert. If there’s an opportunity to bring in Osimhen, who is eager to join, they won’t close the door on that possibility.”
