Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make an offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyekeres.
Several forwards have been linked with the Gunners, including Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko, but Gyokeres seems to be at the top of their wish list.
Manchester United and Chelsea are also monitoring the Swedish international.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Arsenal are leading the race to sign Gyokeres this summer. They plan to make an offer once the season ends.
Gyokeres is open to joining Arsenal. Sources close to the player say he views the London club as a top option.
Sporting director Andrea Berta is keen on bringing the striker to the Premier League. He sees Gyokeres as a perfect fit for the Gunners.
The 26-year-old has bagged 44 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season. He is considered a more affordable option than other top strikers on the market.
However, Arsenal may need to move quickly. If other clubs join the race, the price could go up. Sporting are expected to ask for at least €70 million for their star forward.
If a bidding war is triggered, the fee could rise to €100m. Arsenal are watching closely and ready to act fast to secure their man.
