An Arsenal fan spotted a whiteboard at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, displaying how various players feel about playing at the ground.

Posting on Twitter, Arsenal fan @GiantCalGunner revealed that during a tour of the Emirates Stadium on Sunday they’d spotted a whiteboard behind one of the barriers.

On the whiteboard was the question “How does playing at the Emirates make you feel?”

The board was then filled with one-word answers, each signed with initials and a number. For example, “RN24”, presumably Reiss Nelson, Arsenal’s number 24.

With this in mind, we can take a look at each of the answers the players apparently gave:

  • Reiss Nelson: “Proud”
  • David Raya: “Confident”
  • Thomas Partey: “Good”
  • Kai Havertz: “Enjoyment”
  • Gabriel Jesus: “Honoured”
  • Emile Smith Rowe: “Powerful”
  • Gabriel Martinelli: “Excited”
  • Eddie Nketiah: “Happy”
  • Bukayo Saka: “Special”
  • Leandro Trossard: “Magical”
  • Oleksandr Zinchenko: “Pleasure”
  • Martin Odegaard: “Love”
  • Jorginho: “Excited”
  • Jakub Kiwior: “Excited”
  • Ben White: “Privileged”
  • Cedric Soares: “Unique”
  • William Saliba: “Excited”

Quite what the exercise was intended to achieve, we may never konw, but it’s a nice heartwarming insight into the views of the players on their home ground.

Mikel Arteta has urged Arsenal fans to bring the noise when the Gunners face FC Porto at the ground on Tuesday, inspiring the team to another good result.
