Women’s football, unlike men’s tends to be very secretive when it comes to things like fees being paid and contract durations, but thanks to HB Koge’s chairman, we can at least grasp an idea of what Arsenal paid to bring Marckese to the club as a replacement for Lydia Williams after the Australian left the club at the end of her contract to sign for PSG.
While the exact fee has still not been revealed we do know two things:
Speaking to the official HB Koge site, club director Per Rud, expressed his regrets at losing the American, but added, “It is fantastic for us that we have reached a point where we can sell to such a big club as Arsenal.
“It shows that we have done things right.
“We have scouted properly and our coaching staff led by goalkeeper coach Claes De Flon has developed the right things in Kaylan’s game so that she has been able to perform at the international top level – and it is now paying off for both her and ourselves.
“We are extremely proud of the process and the sale.”
