Michelle Agyemang and Rosa Kafaji are both expected to join Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the 2025–26 season.

The moves are viewed internally as key developmental steps for two of Arsenal’s most highly rated young attacking players.

For Agyemang, the return to Brighton would mark a continuation of the path that led to her becoming one of English football’s breakout stars.

The 19-year-old forward, who made her senior England debut earlier this year and scored within 41 seconds, became a national sensation during UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, scoring vital late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Despite not starting a match, she was named UEFA’s Young Player of the Tournament, with England captain Leah Williamson calling her a player who “deserves her flowers”.

Last season, Agyemang made her WSL breakthrough with Brighton and a second year on the south coast is seen as the logical next phase in her development while she waits for an attacking space at Arsenal to open up at the end of next season.

Rosa Kafaji, meanwhile, is expected to join her following a stop-start first campaign in England. The 22-year-old Swedish international arrived at Arsenal from BK Häcken in 2024 and made 19 appearances in all competitions, but an ankle injury suffered in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Lyon cut her season short and ruled her out of Sweden’s Euro 2025 campaign.

Arsenal remain confident in her long-term potential and see the Brighton loan as an ideal route to increase her consistency and conditioning at a competitive level. She has already held talks with the Seagulls after visiting their training ground at the end of last month.

With Brighton expected to give both players prominent roles should the moves complete, Arsenal will be watching closely as two of the most promising attacking prospects in the women’s game prepare for what could be defining seasons in their early careers.
