Folarin Balogun will be sent out on loan by Arsenal in January, according to a report from The Athletic on Monday.
The story states that both the young striker and the club are in agreement that he should move next month to seek regular playing time.
While interest in Balogun is high, no final decision has been made as yet on who will win the race for his signature.
The situation may change depending on Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s situations in January.
Both are out of contract at the end of the season and have hinted that they will move on in the summer, meaning if one or both leave next month, the Gunners could be forced to rethink their Balogun plans.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will also likely be taking part in the African Cup of Nations with Gabon but as things stand, Arsenal’s main intention in the attacking department is to find a loan destination for the 20-year-old.
Balogun started the opening game of the season at Brentford for his Premier League debut but has made just two appearances since but has netted 16 goals in 12 games at underage level this season.
