Ex-Inter captain Samir Handanovic scouted Michael Kayode during Fiorentina‘s home win over Lazio on Monday, and the Nerazzurri are ready to meet his entourage before the end of March.
FcInternews reports ex-Inter keeper Handanovic was at the Stadio Franchi in Florence on Monday to watch Fiorentina’s 2-1 win over Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.
The Tuscans’ victory was inspired by Kayode’s first Serie A goal and according to the report, Handanovic had travelled to Florence to watch the 19-year-old in action for the Nerazzurri.
It is reported that talks between the two parties are only at a preliminary stage. FcInternews quotes the defender’s entourage saying that Inter want a meeting before Easter, so the end of March.
Andrea Ritorni, a member of Kayode’s entourage, said on Tuesday that Kayode is happy in Florence and that his long-term deal means he will remain at the club for some time.
However, he confirmed that “several” Premier League clubs are also interested in his client. Arsenal scouts are known to be regulars at the Stadio Franchi to watch Kayode in action.
