Arsenal have made tying Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli down to fresh terms a ‘priority’ and they are ‘confident’ of reaching an agreement with the trio at the Emirates Stadium, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Gunners have made a promising start to the season and have gone into the international break sitting at the top of the Premier League table.

What’s the latest news involving Saka, Saliba and Martinelli?

According to 90min, Arsenal are pushing hard to tie Saka, Saliba and Martinelli down to new long-term contracts as they have entered the final two years of their respective deals.

The report suggests there is a growing confidence that Saka, who has scored 24 goals in 139 appearances for the north Londoners, will put pen-to-paper ahead of the new year.

It initially emerged last month that Arsenal are ready to hand a contract extension to Saliba after he has established himself as a key component of the backline.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are keen to reward 21-year-old Martinelli with improved terms due to the progress he has shown under Arteta.

It is understood that technical director Edu believes all three deals are on the right track, while Arteta wants all three negotiations to be concluded as quickly as possible.

What has Dharmesh Sheth said about the trio?

Sheth believes Arsenal have prioritised holding discussions with Saka, Saliba and Martinelli – who are valued at a combined £135million by Transfermarkt – as they want them to be at the Emirates Stadium long-term.

The Sky Sports reporter understands the Gunners are optimistic that the trio will sign on the dotted line after their demands are met.

When asked whether Arsenal are working frantically behind the scenes to reach an agreement with the trio, Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: “I think that would be a big priority.

“I think that they’re pretty confident of being able to do those deals for those players.”

How have Saka, Saliba and Martinelli performed so far this season?

Statistics show Saka has registered more assists – four – than any of his Arsenal team-mates since the campaign got underway, so he is clearly making an impact in the attacking third of the pitch.

All seven of Saliba’s Gunners appearances have come within the last two months and he has also made an impact in the opposition’s penalty area by chipping in with goals against Bournemouth and Brentford.

Martinelli, who has chalked up 34 goal contributions in 92 outings over the course of his Arsenal career, has enjoyed a positive start to the season as well.
