According to a fresh update from AS, Arsenal have stepped back in their pursuit of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.
The Premier League giants, once seriously interested in signing the 24-year-old Brazilian, have reportedly cooled their stance, likely due to the growing competition from other European heavyweights.
Rodrygo’s future is now one of the hot topics of the summer transfer window. Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayern Munich have all joined the race to sign the winger, and their moves appear to be connected in a wider transfer domino effect.
With multiple clubs circling, the Brazilian’s market value could rise, which may have pushed Arsenal out of the picture for now.
While Rodrygo has played a crucial role at Real Madrid in recent seasons, the club is not ruling out a potential sale.
Real Madrid and the player’s representatives have already started discussions to define his role in the squad moving forward in the wake of increasing competition for attacking positions.

If the decision is made to part ways, Madrid will not let Rodrygo leave on the cheap. The Spanish giants are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of €100 million.
However, with three major clubs now interested, that figure could rise if a bidding war begins.
Liverpool appear to be the most proactive at the moment. The Merseyside club have already made direct contact with Rodrygo’s camp.
These talks could accelerate, particularly if Luis Diaz completes a move away from Anfield in the coming days.
As for Bayern Munich and Tottenham, both clubs are monitoring the situation closely. They see Rodrygo as a high-level attacking reinforcement who could make an immediate impact.
However, they, like Liverpool, will need to convince both the player and Real Madrid with serious offers.
For now, Rodrygo remains a Madrid player, but the sense is that his future could take a major turn before the transfer window closes.
