The Daily Mail report that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are all showing an interest in the Stuttgart defender following his club’s relegation from the Bundesliga. All three clubs were previously linked to Kabak before he moved to Germany from Galatasaray in January.
Bayern Munich have also been following the teenage centre-back, who made 17 appearances and scored three goals in the second half of the season with Stuttgart. Kabak even helped the defence to keep three clean sheets in his last five games of the campaign, despite the team’s struggles.
The 6’1″ defender is strong in the air and a good tackler, and he’s regularly praised for his maturity despite his age. Given Arsenal’s financial restrictions this summer, signing a promising young centre-back with a relatively low release clause might be a good idea.
At the same time, the Gunners need to be certain of Kabak’s ability, because they can’t afford to add yet another mediocre centre-back to the very long list currently at the club. They have to focus just as much on selling a few defenders as buying this summer.
