Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says the coaching staff has been working with Thomas Partey on his shooting.

The Ghana midfielder was poor against Crystal Palace on Tuesday and skied a number of long-range shots.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw, Arteta said of his star player: "Well, today with one of them he was much closer than he's been.

"It's something that we are obviously practicing with him to determine and to decide the areas where we are more likely to score a goal and when we don't.

"He has the capacity to do that because he's done it throughout his career and he is trying and he needs to keep trying, but in the right areas."

28-year-old Partey has yet to score in 39 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal.
