Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits watching other teams in the Champions League and Europa League is not pleasant at the moment.
The Gunners are going through this season without any European football, having failed to qualify for the Champions League, Europa League, or Europa Conference League through the Premier League last term.
Arteta, whose side got their first league win of the season against Norwich City last weekend, spoke about their absence from Europe with reporters, per the club website.
He said: "One hundred per cent [movtivated to get back in Europe].
"I don't want to be sitting there with Arsenal being out of those competitions. We have the focus and the trigger is there."
He added: "It hurts a lot. In the last few days, it's hurt to put the TV on and see those teams and not seeing Arsenal there. It was painful."
