The Mirror reports that two clubs, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sevilla, are expressing interest in Nelson, who had a previous loan spell at Feyenoord during the 2021/22 season.
Despite the potential interest from these clubs, Nelson’s preference remains clear. The Englishman, who extended his contract with Arsenal earlier this year to mid-2027, is eager to stay and compete for his place.
This season, he has featured in eight Premier League games and made five appearances in the Champions League for the Gunners.
Notably, Nelson contributed two assists in the matches against PSV Eindhoven.
Following the encounter in Eindhoven, Nelson was asked about the possibility of returning to Feyenoord, a club looking to strengthen its wing options this winter. In response, he told RTL, “I have a good relationship with the manager. I helped them a few years ago and that was a great time. They helped me develop.
“But I signed a contract with Arsenal, that’s where my heart is at the moment.”
The situation with Nelson is a balancing act for Arsenal. As the transfer window unfolds, it will be interesting to see whether Nelson remains at Arsenal to compete for his place or embarks on a new challenge elsewhere.
