Arsenal are planning to utilise a cannon instead of the club crest on all three of their kits in 2024/25, according to a report.

As we reported last week, leaks have revealed that the Arsenal home kit for 2024/25 will use a cannon logo instead of the usual club badge.

But it seems that change will extend to the other kits as well, with James McNicholas reporting for The Athletic that all of the club’s shirts will use the cannon in 2024/25.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to use next season to celebrate the cannon, though this isn’t a sign that the crest is about to disappear for good.

McNicholas reports that changing the club’s crest to the cannon wouldn’t be a straightforward process, it would involve consultation with supporters, it would be expensive, and most importantly, there’s no suggestion Arsenal want to change it.

After all, this isn’t the first time Arsenal have used a cannon as a badge. This season, the green third kit uses a cannon logo, as did the black away kit in 2022/23, and the yellow away kit in 2021/22.

It’s just been a while since the home kit has used a cannon. The last time was in the 1989/90 season, and even then it included an “AFC” in the form of cannon balls. The cannon hasn’t been used on its own on an Arsenal home kit since 1977/78.

The home kit will remain red and white, but it will also use a blue stripe on the front. Where this season’s Adidas shoulder stripes were in gold, next season’s will be in blue.

Unlike this season’s shirt, the white of the sleeves will extend all the way down the sides of the shirt to the bottom.

Interestingly, it looks as though the size of the Adidas logo has also been noticeably increased.

Arsenal Shirt Collection previously reported that the away kit will be black, with red and green details. They added that it’s unconfirmed whether the women will have a different away kit next year, like they do this season.

Finally, the third kit for 2024/25 will be aqua, with light purple and navy blue details. In addition, the third kit will see the return of the original Adidas trefoil logo.

Based on previous seasons, Arsenal will likely wear the new home kit in the last game of the current campaign against Everton on Sunday, May 19th, 2024. One of the other two kits will be released in early pre-season, and the other later in the summer.
