Arsenal have reportedly made a move for Real Madrid playmaker Martin Ødegaard.

That’s according to Sky Sports on Wednesday who have claimed that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the Norway international.

Ødegaard spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad but was recalled by Los Blancos to help support their bid to reclaim the Liga title.

However, the 22-year-old has played just five minutes in the last six games and earlier today, reports in the Spanish press indicated that the player had told Zinedine Zidane of his intention to leave on loan during the window.

Sky Sports have now confirmed that Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in his services, having just lost Mesut Özil to Fenerbahce.
