Arsenal loan defender Clarke provided his third goal contribution of the season on Saturday, and arguably his best yet. Following his assist against St. Mirren the previous weekend, Clarke took things into his own hands with a long-range strike this time around.

With less than seven minutes on the clock against Livingston, Clarke picked up the ball well outside the box, before driving a low shot at goal.

Perhaps unexpectedly, the right-back’s effort arrowed into the bottom corner of the net. You can watch the goal here from 0:26.

On top of the goal, Clarke made three clearances, one interception, blocked a shot, and won 11 of his 15 individual duels. It’s no wonder those stats earned him a place in the Team of the Week.

The negative side of the loanee’s situation is that his team are doing so badly. Despite his efforts, Ross County remain bottom of the division, without a win in 10 league games.
