Arsenal youth striker Mika Biereth has spent the season out on loan with a couple of clubs, first playing for Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership before moving to Sturm Graz in Austria for the second half of the season.

That’s proved an inspired switch, with the striker going on to win his first two trophies in senior football.

First, Biereth helped his team to lift the OFB Cup, scoring one and assisting one in his three appearances from the quarter-finals onwards.

After that, the 21-year-old helped his team to secure the Austrian Bundesliga title on Sunday.

Thanks to Biereth’s assist against LASK, Sturm had managed a draw the previous weekend, leaving them needing a win on the final day to finally pry the title away from RB Salzburg.

Salzburg had won the previous 10 league titles, but Sturm had the chance to finally end that run, and it was a chance they took with a 2-0 win over Austria Klagenfurt. Biereth played 87 minutes.

Sturm couldn’t make it a treble, as they were knocked out of the Europa Conference League by Lille. But Biereth did well in his first taste of European football, scoring three times in four knockout games.

Biereth ends the season with 15 goals and nine assists between his two loan spells, a goal contribution every 111 minutes for the two clubs.

But perhaps more importantly, he’ll return to Arsenal with a couple of medals to cap off a strong season.
