According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are set to face competition in the race to sign Lille forward Jonathan David (24). The Canadian striker is free to discuss signing for clubs on a pre-contract as a free agent with his contract at the Stade Pierre Mauroy set to expire in June 2025.
The Serie A clubs are thought to be the favourites to sign the former Gent striker. However, it now appears that they will face fierce competition from Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all considering making a move for David on a free transfer.
United are considering a move for the 24-year-old due to underwhelming performances from Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund. In the case of Arsenal and Liverpool, David is considered a completely different profile to what they already possess within their attacking ranks. Juventus still hope that the Canadian international will choose Turin as his eventual destination whether in January for a fee or in June on a free transfer.
