No less than four clubs from the top-flight of English football are keeping a close eye on the progress of Villarreal star Filip Jörgensen.

That’s according to Marca, citing HITC, who point towards Jörgensen’s impressive form in Castellón as beginning to turn heads across the continent.

The shot-stopper, for his part, has been a near ever-present between the posts for Villarreal across the campaign to date.

In fact, across the Yellow Submarine’s 30 La Liga outings, Jörgensen has been made use of from the off in all but one.

Having now put the doubts surrounding his talents firmly to bed, the Danish youth international – still just 21 – is beginning to make a name for himself as one of Spanish football’s standout goalkeepers.

And as much, as alluded to above, has given rise to mounting interest in Jörgensen’s signature.

After Italian heavyweights Juventus were previously tipped as a potential destination, on Friday, four Premier League clubs have been added to the fray.

The sides in question? Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United.

All of this quartet have first-choice shot-stoppers locked in, but are understood to be keeping a close eye on the market for backup options.

And Jörgensen, owing to both his abilities and room for growth, is considered one potential target for the summer.
