Wojciech Szczesny did not hide his disappointment when experienced Juventus goalkeeper coach Claudio Filippi said he’d leave the first team in the 2024-25 campaign.
Poland international Szczesny is unhappy with Juventus’ decision to change their goalkeeper coach for the next campaign.
Claudio Filippi, in fact, announced on Instagram that he’d leave the first team next season and become responsible for the goalkeeper’s area at the club. Therefore, he won’t be working on the pitch with the first team anymore.
Filippi joined Juventus in 2010 with Gigi Delneri in charge and remained at the club for 14 years.
It is fair to say that Szczesny wanted to work with Filippi again, given that the ex-Arsenal keeper commented on his social media post with an angry face emoji.
Szczesny has been linked with a move to Arsenal, but recent reports claim the Poland international may also receive offers from the Saudi Pro League.
Juventus have practically signed Michele Di Gregorio from Monza on loan with an obligation to buy. The 26-year-old was named the best Serie A goalkeeper for 2023-24.
