Arsenal have joined Manchester United and Liverpool in the race for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
The 24-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2024, and he is yet to agree new terms with the London outfit.
He has been an important member of the Blues’ team this season, making 35 appearances in all competitions.
Mount is closing in on 200 senior appearances for his boyhood club but will likely leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
United and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the England international and Arsenal have joined the race.
The Gunners, who are competing with Manchester City for the Premier League title this season, are keen to make new additions this summer.
West Ham United’s Declan Rice is reportedly their priority target, but Mount has emerged as a target.
The 24-year-old has struggled for form this season, but there is no doubt he is still one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
The England international has been named the Blues’ Player of the Year in the last two seasons.
He has made 195 first-team appearances for Chelsea, bagging 33 goals and 37 assists.
Mount would be a good signing for Arsenal, but they may not find it easy to secure his services.
