If he signs a short-term deal, it makes sense. He still has a role to play, especially in big matches where composure is key. But many fans would be uncomfortable with a long-term renewal, especially if it delays investment in younger, more durable options.

Kieran Tierney leaving feels like the right move. He’s loved here, no question, but football evolves and his role in Arteta’s system no longer fits. A return to Celtic is the ideal scenario for everyone.
