Arsenal came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Southampton at St. Mary's on Tuesday.
The Gunners should have gone ahead with less than a minute on the clock, but Alexandre Lacazette failed to convert a one-on-one with Alex McCarthy.
Saints punished Lacazette for the miss just two minutes later when a training ground corner was finished superbly by Stuart Armstrong.
It didn't take long for Arsenal to equalise however, with Nicolas Pepe latching onto a superb through ball from Granit Xhaka before finishing precisely past McCarthy.
Mikel Arteta's side grew in confidence and found themselves in the lead before half-time.
Lacazette slipped in Bukayo Saka, who couldn't believe his luck when McCarthy hastily rushed out of his box to intercept his touch, only for the England international to round his compatriot before finishing into an unguarded net.
The pace of a cracking first-half did not continue in the second stanza as Saints looked to have run out of energy after beating Arsenal in the FA Cup last weekend.
And the visitors made sure of victory with a superb team goal after 72 minutes.
Some neat footwork from Willian allowed Cedric Soares to pick out Saka on the right wing with a glorious cross-field pass. The 19-year-old took a touch before crossing with his opposite foot to allow Lacazette to tumble in a redemptive strike.
The win sees Arsenal leapfrog Southampton into eighth-place on the Premier League table, having won five of their last six Premier League matches.
