Arsenal have reportedly identified both Dusan Vlahovic and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as summer transfer targets.

Arsenal have enjoyed one of their finest seasons in almost 20 years, and despite dropping points in their last two games, they remain top of the Premier League with just seven games remaining.

Manchester City remain hot on their heels as they pursue the treble, with the pair set to meet at the Etihad next week in a game that could decide the destination of the title.

Regardless of what happens in the remaining weeks, it has been a superb season for the Gunners who are virtually nailed on to make their first return to the Champions League since the 2016/17 season.

Ahead of that expected return to Europe’s top table, Arsenal are believed to be keen to bolster their attacking options this summer, with Mikel Arteta having only had Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah as his main strikers this season.

According to Football Insider, the Spaniard has been delighted with the dup, but feels they are two similar in profile and is keen to add something a bit different to his side, with Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin on his radar.

Both have been linked with a move to the Emirates in the past, and the report says that Vlahovic is Arteta’s preferred option, while Calvert-Lewin is his backup.

Juventus shelled out almost £63 million to land Vlahovic in January 2022, and the Italian giants would demand a large fee for a player who still had three years left on his deal in Turin.

As for Calvert-Lewin, he would likely be significantly cheaper, though a move for the England international would come somewhat as a surprise following his struggles with a whole host of injury issues which have restricted him to just 28 Premier League appearances over the last two seasons.

The report adds that Folarin Balogun, who has impressed on loan at Ligue 1 side Reims this season, ‘doesn’t want to return’ to the club unless guaranteed first-team opportunities, potentially paving the way for his departure.
