The Daily Mail claims that Arsenal have added Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko to their summer transfer target list in an attempt to pull off a double swoop alongside Gabriel Jesus.

Zinchenko has been reportedly identified as one of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s own personal picks, as the Gunners boss worked with the 25-year-old left-back during his time as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at City.

Sportsmail adds that, while Guardiola considers Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus ‘integral members’ of the City squad, the manager will not stand in the way of players wishing to exit the club.

Prying Zinchenko away from City alongside Gabriel Jesus could prove a challenge, however, as the Ukrainian international is a fan-favourite at the Etihad Stadium – a sentiment the player shares, in kind.

“Honestly I want to die for these people, for all this support, because what people gave me and what they have done for me during this toughest period of my life,” Zinchenko said of City’s supporters during his team’s Premier League title celebrations.

“I am so appreciative and I will never forget this. Never in my life.”

The move comes amid City’s links to Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella, who himself admitted a possible move to the Etihad would be tough to turn down.
