Journalist Duncan Castles reported this week that Arsenal have started discussions with Paris Saint-Germain about acquiring UEFA Euro 2024 winner Fabián Ruiz. Moreover, there’s new information backing this initial report that the Gunners are keen on the Spaniard.

Ruiz truly shone during Spain’s successful UEFA Euro 2024 campaign. The 28-year-old PSG midfielder started all six matches, contributing two goals and two assists as Spain clinched the title.

He was impressive all around, averaging 1.7 key passes and 65.2 passes per game with a 91 percent pass completion rate. His standout performance underscored what a fantastic tournament he had with La Roja.

The Daily Express reports that Arsenal are looking to replicate their success with David Raya by bringing Ruiz in on loan from PSG.

However, there’s conflicting information on this file as Foot Mercato reports that Arsenal haven’t shown interest in Ruiz, who’s tied to PSG until June 2027.

The former Napoli star is expected to build on his promising summer and prove he deserves to stay in Paris. Last season, Ruiz played 37 games for PSG, scoring three goals and adding seven assists.
