How good have Arsenal been this term?

The Premier League table quite clearly shows that they have been the best team in the country.

From 14 games, Arsenal have taken 37 points, putting them in first place ahead of champions Manchester City.

Out of those 14 fixtures, the north London club have only lost once, really putting into perspective how good they have been in the current campaign.

Heading into the season, Arsenal’s aim would have been to finish in the top four after just missing out on a spot in there last term. But looking at where they are now, some supporters will surely be dreaming about a first league title in 19 years.

What has Bridge said about Arsenal’s January transfer plans?

Bridge has told GIVEMESPORT that Arteta and Edu will look to make a couple of new signings when the window reopens.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports reporter said: “I don’t think Arsenal should have any concerns about anything at the moment. What I’m hearing from the club is that they’ll look to add one or two again in January.

“Edu and Arteta have got a fantastic partnership. They’ll work together and they’ll only sign the ones they want to sign.”

Who could Arsenal sign?

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk; however, they are going to have to make a big bid it seems if they want to sign him in January.

As per The Athletic, the Gunners have been monitoring the 21-year-old winger but will have to pay €100m (around £86m) to land him.

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans is another player who is thought to be on Arsenal’s radar.

According to 90min, the league leaders could make a January bid for the Belgian, who is out of contract next summer. Compared to Mudryk, he is obviously a much more attainable target for Arteta.

The above does not mean Arsenal will definitely be able to sign Tielemans. Leicester could decide to keep hold of the 25-year-old and allow him to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season instead.

However, given where they are, the money they have and the fact that Tielemans’ contract is running down, Arsenal should fancy their chances of landing him in January if they do decide to make a move.
