Arsenal earn £800k less than Tottenham from Premier League & TV money

Tottenham made only slightly more money than Arsenal in the 21/22 season thanks to the Gunners being shown on TV more than Spurs.

With the 2021/22 season now finished, we have a rough idea of the prize money everybody won.

The table below, which was in the Mail on Sunday before the final games were played, shows that Arsenal earned a total of £154.3m, ‘only’ £800,000 less than Tottenham, although their windfall for finishing fourth will come from the Champions League itself.

The reason there was so little between the two sides is down to Arsenal being shown on TV twice more than Tottenham which netted the Gunners an additional £1.9m.

In fact, no other side was shown more than Arsenal (Liverpool were joint top).
