Arsenal defender Harry Clarke promoted to senior preseason training

Arsenal defender Harry Clarke has been promoted to senior preseason training.

Jeorge Birds Arsenal youth website reports Clarke has been drafted in to train with the first-team.

The 20-year-old impressed during a loan spell at Oldham Athletic last season and has been made available for temporary transfer again this summer. However, could be involved in Arsenal's early pre-season games.

The Gunners kickoff their programme against Hibs on Tuesday.

With regards to first-team players, Thomas Partey, Nicolas Pepe, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Cedric Soares, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers are among those who took part in the first session at London Colney.

Alex Runarsson and Reiss Nelson have also returned.
