FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Arsenal.
The youngster, who turns 18 today, has spent more than 11 years with The Gunners after joining the club in 2011 at the age of six. Goldie made her senior debut for Arsenal against Gillingham Women in the 2020/2021 Vitality Women’s FA Cup. The player has gone on to add a further five appearances to her tally.
After signing her first professional terms with Arsenal, Goldie said “It feels unbelievable to finally be signing with the club that I love and that I’ve been with all my life almost. I’m absolutely delighted. I don’t think I can really put it into words. It’s something that I’ve always dreamed of and now it’s become a reality – I just can’t wait to get going. I’m a Gooner myself so to actually sign here, for the club that I love and support, is just incredible.”
Goldie is currently sidelined recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury sustained whilst playing for Barclays Women’s Championship club Watford during the second half of this season. The defender featured for The Golden Girls on a dual-registration basis, making four Barclays Women’s Championship appearances before sustaining her injury. Goldie is set to be sidelined until early 2023.
