West Ham United are interested in signing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson this summer.
The 24-year-old has been a fringe player for the Gunners over the past two seasons. He made just one Premier League start last term as the fourth-choice winger.
Nelson has already told Arsenal that he wants to assess potential transfer options this summer, and the Telegraph claims he could be available for £15-20 million.
The Gunners graduate, who manager Mikel Arteta described as a ‘special talent‘ in 2020, has attracted interest from West Ham United.
Nelson was once regarded as one of the best young talents in the academy, but he has not made sufficient progress to become a regular in the manager’s plans.
The winger was restricted to 257 minutes in 15 league appearances last season. He was not named in the matchday squad for eight of the final 10 games of the campaign.
Nelson has not had the opportunity to prove himself with consistent minutes. A move away from the Gunners should be beneficial as he enters the prime phase of his career.
However, the England youth international may not break into the West Ham team, with competition from Jarrad Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta.
He could be handed more playing time off the bench to prove his credentials. Crystal Palace are also reportedly interested and could be a better destination for him.
The Eagles recently sold Michael Olise to Bayern Munich and Nelson has the chance to stake a claim for the right-wing role.
