Arsenal signing Everton duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison would be an exciting development for the Gunners, claims journalist Dean Jones.

The two Toffees attackers are both being linked with moves to the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his forward line.

According to The Sun, Everton are prepared to sell Calvert-Lewin this summer, putting Arsenal and West Ham on red alert.

The same outlet claims that the latter enquired about signing the 25-year-old in January but were put off by the Merseyside club’s huge £60m valuation.

Elsewhere, Planet Sport are reporting that Richarlison is admired by Arsenal technical director Edu and is one of many forwards that the north London outfit are looking at right now. It remains to be seen how much money Everton would want for the Brazilian, but you would imagine that it will not be anything less than the £50m they paid Watford back in 2018.

As things stand, Arsenal are about to lose Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah on free transfers, so attacking additions this summer look inevitable.

What has Jones said about Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison to Arsenal?

If Arsenal can complete a double swoop for Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, Jones thinks supporters will have reason to be excited.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “A double move for those two would be pretty mad and quite exciting.”

Will Arsenal be able to land both Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison?

There is no way that Everton will want to sell their two best forwards in the same transfer window. However, as they continue to make losses, with the club recently announcing a £103m loss for the 2020/21 financial year, you have to wonder if their hands will be tied.

You also would not bet against Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison both wanting moves after Everton’s season of battling against relegation. Manager Frank Lampard may have some convincing to do if he wants to keep hold of all of his top players this summer.

When you take all of that into account, you probably cannot rule out Arsenal completing a double swoop for Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison in the next transfer window, especially if they do go on to lose both Lacazette and Nketiah.

From an Everton perspective, hopefully it is one at most or none at all; otherwise, the Toffees could be in for another really long season next term.
