According to a report from The Athletic, Arsenal would be interested in bringing Lee Kang-in (23) to the Emirates if Paris Saint-Germain were open to entertaining a loan offer with an option to buy.
Lee is a valued member of the PSG squad both on the pitch for his flexible ability to play in each position across Luis Enrique’s front three as well as in the midfield (and even sporadically as a full-back), but also for his off-field value in the Asian market as one of the leading figures in the next generation of South Korean players.
Despite seeing consistent game time this season both as a starter and also as an off-the-bench threat, The Athletic writes that Lee could be open to a new challenge. However, the news outlet writes that PSG are not actively looking to sell and it would take an offer of at least double the €22 million they spent in 2023 to convince them – a price tag that Arsenal reportedly find off-putting. Therefore, the London club’s hope is that they can negotiate a loan with an option to buy.
