Arsenal winger Lisa Evans is leaving the club this summer after spending the last five years in North London.

The 30-year-old Scotland international’s departure was confirmed this morning via a post on Arsenal’s official club website.

Evans joined The Gunners from German top flight club Bayern Munich in 2017 and the player has gone on to win the Barclays FA Women’s Super League title and FA Women’s Continental League Cup with the North Londoners. The winger has made 95 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions in which she has scored 15 goals.

This season brought a loan spell at West Ham United for Evans. The winger impressed at The Chigwell Construction Stadium and it would be no surprise to see the player return to the club on a permanent basis, although Evans is sure to have plenty of offers on the table. With Evans’ partner Vivianne Miedema remaining with Arsenal next season, it seems very likely that the winger will look to remain in the English top flight with another London club.

Evans joins United States international forward Tobin Heath in leaving Arsenal this summer. Midfielder Kim Little has also left The Gunners on a temporary basis with the Scot moving to National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club OL Reign.
