Arsenal complete the signing of Fábio Vieira from Porto | OneFootball

Arsenal have completed the signing of midfielder Fábio Vieira from Porto.

The 22-year-old joins the Premier League club on a long-term deal, for a reported fee of €35m plus €5m in performance related add-ons.

Vieira joined Porto in 2008 at the age of eight, and had worked his way into the first team by 2020,  setting up 14 league goals for his teammates last season.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta told the club’s website: “I am very excited that we have identified and signed such a special talent.

“Fabio is a very creative player that will bring high quality and versatility to our attacking play.”

While the playmaker is yet to make his senior debut for Portugal, he has scored 13 goals in 21 total appearances since making his debut for the U21 side in 2019, and was voted player of the tournament at the U21 Euros last summer.
