Arsenal have announced the signing of goalkeeper Matt Turner from MLS side New England Revolution.

The club revealed the signing and announced that the 28-year-old will wear the No. 30 on Monday morning.

Turner has been an integral part of the USA side that has qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, and has earned 18 caps for his country since making his debut in 2021.

“Matt is an experienced goalkeeper who will bring high quality to our squad,” boss Mikel Arteta told the Arsenal website. “He has shown with his performances in recent years in both MLS and at international level with the United States that he is a goalkeeper who will give us added strength going into next season.

“We welcome Matt and his family to the club and we look forward to working together in the years to come.”

Arsenal have described the deal signed by the goalkeeper as a ‘long term contract’ as is club policy.
