Arsenal are reportedly close to finalising a move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

Sky Sports say the Gunners have met the conditions of the £51m release clause in the Spaniard’s contract and are in the process of finalising the details in his contract.

The report also adds that Arsenal will have at least £100m to spend this summer, plus any additional money generated from player sales.

They would like to sign a striker, with interest in both Benjamin Sesko and Victor Gyokeres.

The Portuguese news website Correio da Manha claims Arsenal are in talks with Gyokeres’ agent and Sporting over a move for the centre-forward.

Gyokeres has scored an outstanding 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions this season and is also attracting interest from other clubs.

And finally, Sky Sports are reporting that Atletico Madrid are set to approach Tottenham over the signing of Cristian Romero.
