Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are monitoring Leeds teenager Wilfried Gnonto, following the forward’s impressive first season at Elland Road.

Gnonto signed for Leeds from FC Zurich last summer and has shone since breaking into the side, with the 19-year-old having scored four goals and laid on a further three assists in all competitions.

Gnonto’s performances are understood to have turned the heads of Premier League rivals and Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all considering an approach, interest which could accelerate if Leeds are relegated this season.

Leeds face a fight to secure their top-flight status this season and a drop into the Championship could see Gnonto become available for an attractive fee. Roberto Mancini is a huge admirer of the player and has already handed the winger eight caps for Italy, with Gnonto in line to feature as the Azzurri begin their Euro 2024 qualification campaign against England on Thursday evening.

90min are reporting that Premier League clubs could face competition from Serie A however, with Juventus and Napoli having been impressed with Gnonto’s emergence for club and country.
