WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
The 18-year-old has come through the Arsenal academy system and she has gone on to break into the first team. Reid has made two appearances for the North Londoners in the Barclays Women’s Super League to date. The youngster also impressed whilst on loan at former Barclays Women’s Championship club Watford last season. She made 13 appearances for The Golden Girls in all competitions in 2023/2024.
Reid is a player that is rated very highly by Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall. He sees the youngster as a first team regular in the coming years. The club have therefore moved to tie Reid down on a professional contract.
After signing her first professional contract at Arsenal, Reid said “I’m so proud to be putting pen to paper on a professional contract at a club that means so much to me. Ever since I was a kid and first started playing football, this is what I always aspired to so it means the world.
“I want to keep working hard and progressing and I can’t wait to continue my development here with Arsenal.”
Reid could be involved for Arsenal again when they play host to Everton this weekend.
