Look, it’s the worst kept secret in football. Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United and Manchester United are happy to see the back of the lacklustre diva although it could bring good news to Arsenal with the possibility of Dani Ceballos signing permanently with the Gunners.

It’s also hardly a surprise that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would give his right arm to land Pogba and it’s highly likely that the deal could be done in the summer for the right fee.

That deal would be very nice for Arsenal fans hoping to sign Dani Ceballos on a permanent deal. Zidane could use the funds from that transfer to get his man and Arsenal could expect to pay anywhere between £45m and £53m for the Spanish playmaker.

Real will certainly try to offload Gareth Bale at the same time to stump up the whopping figure of £130m which United would surely demand. Another thing in Arsenal’s favour is Zidane himself, who can be aloof and intense, which may influence the Spaniards decision to move.

It’s said that his relationship is slightly strained with Ceballos and this could help oil the transfer wheels in the long term, as the lugubrious Frenchman tries to jump start Real.

The only drawback to these scenarios is that Arsenal will have to secure Champions league football to sustain the interest of the emerging 23 year old. There is definitely room for optimism of a bid after a decent start from the silky midfielder, who has also displayed great passion when on the subs bench.

Ceballos has made quite an impact at the club and has also settled into life in North London and the premier league incredibly quickly. Ceballos has been touched by the reception from Arsenal fans, admires the football history and philosophy of the club and its Spanish connections.

Could he be tempted to add his name to those of Fabregas, Reyes and Cazorla. It would be something worth contemplating from a personal point of view. Ceballos can thrive well at the Emirates as fans have already started comparing him to Cazorla and with just 23 years old can be a long time replacement to Ramsey.

Let’s enjoy what Ceballos has to offer this season but let’s not be too dismissive of an Arsenal bid if his form continues. Raúl Sanllehí and Edu could pull it off if there is the slightest opportunity but much depends on the destination of Paul Pogba and the desire of Zidane to take him to Spain.
