Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall says that he is well-aware of the range of threats that latest opponents West Ham United will present to his side.

The Gunners face The Hammers at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday evening in their latest Barclays Women’s Super League fixture.

West Ham United have been one of the most improved sides in this season’s Barclays Women’s Super League and Arsenal boss Eidevall is aware of the fact that The Hammers will provide a range of problems for his side.

“They are a versatile team and they have proved that they are a real threat with their aerial abilities, especially with (Dagný) Brynjarsdóttir,” Eidevall said when speaking in the pre-match press conference.

“We know from the game that we played against them in autumn that they pose a lot of different threats and challenges from the way that they play so we need to play a top game if we are to get the victory out of it.”

Arsenal failed to bring in another striker during the January transfer window. The squad will be a little light for the remainder of the season but Eidevall believes that The Gunners will be up for the challenge.

He said “The squad that we have, I have a lot of belief in that squad, I think we have so many qualitative players. They have so much potential and we have so much potential in what we can achieve together and that’s what we need to focus on.

“We need to work together in order to understand that we have a tighter squad that will need to play a lot of games together and we will need to keep high standards, keep consistent over that time, even if we don’t have much time to recover after each game. It’s a challenge but lets go for the challenge, that’s where our focus needs to be.”

Arsenal’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at West Ham United kicks-off at 6.45pm on Sunday evening.
