Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was happy with right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu filling in at left-back against Leeds United.
The Gunners had to show resilience in claiming a 2-1 win over the relegation candidates in the Premier League on Sunday.
Given the long-term absence of Kieran Tierney, Tomiyasu was tasked with filling in at left-back against the Elland Road club.
Asked about the switch for Tomiyasu, Arteta stated post-game, per the club website: "It was for today, we cannot do things thinking about the next game.
"We believe it was the right thing to do today with what we wanted to do in that side, especially what Leeds had on the side. "
