"Winning always helps," said Arteta, ahead of facing Burnley this weekend.

"The boys were happy because they experienced the reaction of the fans towards them on the day. Winning the first match and getting out of the blocks in the Premier League was a crucial part of our next moment.

"Everybody trained well this week. Granit [Xhaka] is suspended but the rest will be fine. Thomas [Partey] has been training in and out this week, as his load had to be managed because he was in the early stages of the injury.

"But he is pushing everybody as he always does. He wants to be involved so we'll will make the decision that is best for him."
