Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber handed the Gunners an injury scare when he went down due to a knock on his right knee in the second-half in the 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday and was forced off in the 80th minute.

While manager Mikel Arteta made it clear that the Netherlands international had not picked up any injury when asked about his withdrawal, the fans still had their fears given his fitness issues.

However, Arsenal and their supporters have nothing to fear as Timber has been pictured training on international duty with his teammates, and he is expected to feature against Tottenham Hotspur on September 15.

Timber missed the final stages of a pre-season with a foot issue and load-bearing injury, not featuring against Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon.

However, the Arsenal star returned to action on the opening day of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign, coming off the bench in the 2-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He started in the 2-0 win against Aston Villa last weekend and was rewarded with another start against Brighton following a great game at Villa Park.

Timber was replaced with Oleksandr Zinchenko for the last 10 minutes against the Seagulls but is fit and will be looking forward to impressing in the coming days when the Netherlands take on Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 7 and Germany on September 10 in their UEFA Nations League games.

The 23-year-old was out for almost the entirety of last season after an ACL injury, but is now back to prove himself after missing in action for almost the whole of his debut campaign with the Gunners.
