Hale End boys stun Spurs

Scorers: Smith Rowe 12′, Aubameyang 27′, Saka 34′; Son 79′

Arsenal started well and were ahead after just 12 minutes when Bukayo Saka crossed for Emile Smith Rowe to finish from close range.

Another clinical counter attack saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang double their lead, before Saka wriggled past three Tottenham defenders and finished past Hugo Lloris to make it three.

Spurs grew into the game after half time and should have got one back after Harry Kane broke through, but the Spurs captain lifted his lob inches wide of the post.

Heung-min Son did eventually find himself on the scoresheet but it was too little, too late, as Arsenal secured their third-consecutive Premier League win.

Raúl Jiménez’s first goal since his return from a fractured skull was enough to give Wolves the win over Southampton at St Mary’s.

The Mexican striker latched on to a long ball from goalkeeper José Sà before turning the Southampton defence inside out and placing the ball past Alex McCarthy.

The Saints pushed for an equaliser late on with substitute Shane Long missing the best opening when he turned a goal-bound effort wide of the post from close range.

Bruno Lage’s side move up to 13th place in the table while Southampton remain in 16th.
